Hancock Bar Badger - Fuzzy's Sire

"Fuzzy" is a THICK colt.  He is going to be a big, easy going, athletic horse when all is said and done.  This colt will have cow, will be easy to handle, and will be athletic.  Fuzzy is halter broke and very easy to have around.  His sire is a successful roping horse who has produced successful, roping, gaming and all around horses in the past, including money winners.  This cross has always produced super "using" horses.  Fuzzy is the last one, as the sire has been sold.  Don't let the gangly yearling stage throw you off, he will grow up to look like his sire.  Don't miss your chance to own a good one.

"Monty" became "Seannie" when he arrived in CA.  He has settled in and become part of their family.  Sharon reports that he is a horse with a kind demeanor that loves attention and they are very happy with him.  He is going to be a big thick boy as you can see from the third picture taken at 2 yrs. old.  With all that color, he is a striking horse.  Sharon has sent us an update of her boy.  He began his saddle training this winter and it all went very well.  The trainers were so pleased with him and his trainability.  Here is a link to a video Sharon put together to show just how much he has grown.  What a good BOY!   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLw8WdInfcI

"Deuce" is in a plain red wrapper, but he sure is pretty.  He was a surprise as the mare was checked as open, but it sure was a nice surprise.  Deuce has lots of leg, suspension, and beautiful gaits.  Look at that movement.  Right now he is gangly and a little awkward, but he will grow into himself and be big and thick....He is halter broke, easy to get along with, and waiting for you.

Bonnie and Cookie have begun a successful show career together.  First time out they placed in 4 of the 5 classes they entered.  Cookie has a sweet disposition and a very willing attitude.  The pair have plans to learn to do some roping or team penning along with their pleasure classes and trail riding.  Bonnie initially trained Cookie at a Jeff Griffith clinic as a coming 3 year old.  Cookie was then sold, but the first chance Bonnie got she purchased her back!  She has no plans to give her up again.

"We're thrilled with the filly we got from 4 J Quarter Horse Ranch.  We searched for months in horse publications and the internet for the horse of our dreams.  We were looking for a particular color, as well as the size, shape and disposition of a true foundation-bred Quarter Horse.  We kept coming back to a filly of theirs who looked like our perfect horse.  The problem was, we were way out  in California and they were in Iowa! After about four months of searching we called to see if they'd even consider selling a horse to somebody so far away, and if so, whether they knew how we could get her delivered.

After talking to them and emailing back and forth with their current web mistress, who knew the horse well, we felt confident this was the horse we'd been seeking. Jerry even made arrangements to deliver her himself.  Hancock's Ivory Angel, or Punkin as we call her, has been a delightful addition to our herd.   She's smart, friendly, calm, willing and of course has a really nice build.  She's won our hearts, is well liked by the other horses in our small herd, and is rapidly working her way up in the herd's leadership status.  She even let (actually encouraged) us to put a Santa Hat on her and she was the star of our Christmas card this year.
We were impressed with the integrity of 4J's owners and the way they care for their horses.  If we had a spot for another horse we wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again."

"I purchased two foals from the 4J Ranch about a year and a half ago. They are very easy to handle. They always walk up to you in the pasture. I have two other horses that were purchased elsewhere and they don't seem to be as easy to care for as my yearlings, a filly named Pocos Normandy Doll, Daisy and my gelding, Flicka Lucky Hancock, Poser.

With very LITTLE training, Daisy will do just about anything that she is asked to and doesn't spook very easy. Poser needs a little more time, but he will normally do as asked. I think it needs to be his idea, not yours. But he doesn't spook either. They are around farm equipment, refrigerator semi trailer and semi all the time.

If I were to reduce my herd, I would sell my other two horses before the foundation quarter horses that I purchased from the 4J Ranch."

Sincerely,

Tonia Dirksen

"I took her to her first "in hand" class in Sept. and she won first place in the Model 2&3 years olds that I brought her in. She is a doll with a GREAT personality!!"

"She is such a people person...if you had a herd of horses out in the field and me in one corner, she would come stand with me for however long I was there and follow me around...forget other horses, she is such a people person!! I also agree with you that they look so much like their dad!"

"Seven is doing WONDERFULLY! I have been working with her a bit more now. I still am taking it slowly with her and only ride her lightly 1-2 times a week..mostly just walking working on bending and steering and such. I will do more in depth training in the spring when she is almost 3. She loves the trail and is SO mellow! We go over and by things that the older horses balk and get afraid of...she is such a trooper :)"

"When I start looking for additions to my "horse family", I will not hesitate to buy from 4J Ranch again!"
